At WaiPlant we work on a range of topics in plant biology, with an emphasis on plant vascular functioning and water relations. We contribute to a variety of plant based industries, and investigate the properties of New Zealand’s unique flora.  Current research includes the productivity of kiwifruit orchards and the impact of the vascular disease Psa, water use and irrigation of avocado, and the floral biology and nectar physiology of mānuka.
